What does the Sage 200 Barcode Addon do?

Our Sage 200 Barcode Addon allows for multiple barcodes to be set against stock items within Sage 200. With integrated barcode aliasing it turns the SOP screen into a true trade counter application. Any screen with a stock lookup can be used with a barcode - barcodes are related to stock codes via a new barcode table in the database.

We have also generated a barcode management system which allows for the easy import of barcodes into the system using CSV files, with the added ability to export the barcodes back out the system directly into your Sage Paypoint till system if required.

Barcodes can be printed from within the system directly onto labels from our barcode printing system.

How does it do it?

Multiple barcodes per stock item

An additional tab is added onto the stock record which allows for multiple barcodes to be entered into a stock item at one time. These can be managed from both inside the stock record and an easy to use barcode management screen. Further we have added the ability to specify a primary barcode for easy reporting.

Barcode aliasing

All the stock lookups in Sage 200 are aliased to the barcode(s). This means for example when entering a sales order you can type in the barcode of the item and it will automatically pick up the correct stock item. You can take this even further and scan in the barcode with a standard barcode scanner which will automatically pick up the correct stock code.

Import/export to Sage Paypoint till

Using ODBC we have connected directly into the Paypoint database. This means that with the click of a button you can send all of your barcodes from Sage 200 across to Paypoint avoiding double entry. We have also realised that going into every stock item to enter a barcode can be time consuming. So if you have excel all you require is a list of barcodes and the related Sage 200 stock item code and you can import it straight into Sage 200.

Printing of barcodes

Our barcode printer allows you to print directly to a label printer from within Sage 200. Print multiple labels at once displaying a custom title, barcode, stock name, stock code and price.
